In a night filled with thrilling excitement and heart-stopping suspense, the 7th week of the Gosport Wednesday 6-a-side football league unfolded with some great games in the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In Premier League action, Lucky 7 pulled off a narrow victory against Athletico Flacid, ending the game with a scoreline of 6-5. In an intensely-fought match, Pad Piece FC succumbed to The Gentlemen, 8-3. The Gentleman remain two points clear with 3 games left to play this season.
DIVISION ONE
Over in Division 1, Brune Parkians dominated Chairman Supernova with a resounding 7-2 victory. Fish Fingers FC and leaders The Backstreet Moyes battled it out to a 2-2 draw, while Jewventus triumphed over Reform AFC with a 6-0 scoreline. The star of this division was Rico Cook from Jewventus, who single-handedly netted 5 goals, becoming the top scorer of Division 1.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw Bowen Arrows narrowly defeated Bayern Neverlosen 3-2. Queens Park Strangers were overwhelmed 9-2 by Suck Umtities, while Snatit FC suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to Spitroast FC. Callum Cox of Bowen Arrows emerged as the top scorer in this division with a hat-trick.
As the Gosport Wednesday 6-a-side football league heads into its 8th week, the action is set to heat up further. Various teams will be looking forward to improving their standings, while top scorers will be aiming to maintain their momentum. The coming weeks promise to deliver more thrilling action, keeping us on the edge of our seats.
