Gosport Wednesday 6 a side results round up!

All 18 teams were in attendance at Gosport 6 a side last night as we welcomed new team JJ Elite to the league in place of reigning champions Snorting Lisbon. Hopefully Lisbon will return some day, at least they got one title under their belts before bailing. Off to rebuild!

JJ Elite showed their class on arrival as they won an end to end encounter with top of the table Too Many Goals who have been scoring for fun in recent weeks but suffered their first loss 6-4 to the new boys. Shin and Tonic took advantage to close the gap to just one point with a comfortable 7-0 win over Past It. In one of the games of the night Pique Blinders managed to bag themselves a win after throwing away 3 goal leads over the last 2 weeks they held on for a 5-4 win against Damo's Dynamo's. Christian scoring 5 times for Pique.

There was a shock in Div 1 as runaway leaders Gurnley went down to Centurion in the battle of the veterans 4-2. Jerry hitting a hat-trick to add to a goal from Quincy for Centurion. So over to Fish Fingers FC to go top then, maybe not as another shock unfolded with bottom side The Untouchables beating them 5-3. Maybe the fear of the Premier League is getting to the top two. In the other match TeamPB FC had Harry Leigh 2 and Brad Sullivan to thank for goals in their 3-2 win against The Breadrins Curse, the win puts them to within two points of the promotion places.

There was a top of the table clash in Div 2 as Noodles and Chant looked to strengthen there grip on top spot against second place Does It Got Six. However it was Does It Got Six that won a tight affair with a 3-2 victory to take them just a point behind Noodles. Diop It Like It's Hot edged a cagey match with Schindlers Assist 1-0 while Six Offenders climbed out of the bottom two with a commanding 5-1 win against Fox's In The Box.
