Last night's action-packed week 7 of the Gosport Wednesday 6-a-side Football League saw a thrilling game-play that left spectators at the edge of their seats. In the Premier League division, the games were characterized by impressive performances and shocking surprises.
One of the most exciting matches of the evening was between Tekkerslovakia and Lemon Skunk United, with Lemon Skunk narrowly winning 3-2, thanks to the exceptional performance from the top scorer Rob Carlisle, who netted three goals. South Coast Vikings were edged 2-1 by the resilient Breadrins Curse FC, and fans witnessed an astonishing performance from The Untouchaballs, who brought down Murder On Zidanes Floor with a 5-1 victory. Non Bibs also showed their prowess by thrashing Van Brockhurst 5-1.
Switching to Division 1, the competition was just as fierce. Lucky 7 managed a narrow 5-4 win over Baines On Toast in a nerve-wracking encounter. However, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the astounding 21-2 victory by Lizards On Tour against Queens Park Strangers. This success was largely driven by Connor Chester, who showed a masterclass in scoring, bagging an incredible nine goals for his team.
In the other matches, Snatit FC proved their dominance over Gosham FC with a 3-1 triumph, and Fish Fingers FC, showed their mettle by beating Suck Umtities 4-1.
These results have set the stage for an intriguing next round of matches, as teams vie for supremacy in their respective divisions. With the top-scorers from each division setting the bar high, it will be interesting to see if the other players will rise to the challenge in the coming weeks.
