SKERTALS are CHAMPIONS of Gosport 6 a side

END OF SEASON

That's a wrap on our latest season of 6 a side at Gosport and on the final night Skertals did enough to hold onto top spot and claim the Premier League title. They finished on 16 points after a compelling season and it was only their superior goal difference that got them there with Fish Fingers fighting all the way but eventually having to settle for the runners up spot. On the night, Skertals won 4 - 1 against Only Fools and Scorers with Danny Knee bagging all 4 for the champions. Fish Fingers benefited from a points win as The Untouchables couldn't get there. Does it Got Six finished 3rd after a 6 - 3 win against Club Tropicana who will drop to Division One.

Taking their place in the top flight will be Win or Booze who have picked up the league title with some comfort in the end. Despite a final night 2 - 2 draw with Borussia Monchenflapjack the title was in the bag and they head to the Prem for next season with our congratulations on a great season. Also going up are Diop it Like it's Hot who leapt past The Breadrins Curse in dramatic style to grab a place in the top flight. Andy Hawxwell netted 3 to confirm the result 4 - 1 which leaves Breadrins in the division for another season.  Centurion and Past It fought out an epic 3 - 3 draw to end their seasons well.

The Golden Boot's are won by Nathan Sitch of Fish Fingers with 15 in the prem and Liam Coleman with 12 in Division One so well done to both of them.

Massive thank you to everyone involved in this season, my 1st involved in this league, its been a brilliant season, going right to the wire with close games and fully committed teams. Thank you to the captains for being organised with their teams and of course to our officials. Benji and Mike for supivising and to all the refs involved throughout the season, we couldn't do this without your fine work.

The new season will kick off next Wednesday 3rd November and the fixtures will be out very soon. Time to regroup with your squads and get ready for the fresh challenge of a new season.

See you all next week

Rob
