The Calne Tuesday 6 a side Football league concluded its 14th and final week of play, and the dust has finally settled after an exhilarating season of action, which saw Kroos Control triumph in the Premier League.
Kroos Control emerged as champions with a total of 23 points, clinching 11 victories throughout the season. The team's performance was consistent and dominating, outplaying their competitors and showcasing their advanced skills on the pitch. However, their final match saw them succumb to Tchoumani Kids with a scoreline of 1 - 3, an unexpected turn of events. The evening still belonged to Kroos Control and their league title is well deserved.
Elsewhere on the final night of the season, a closely contested match saw Binley Mega Chippy secured a narrow win against Beazer Nunez, finishing the game with 1 - 0. Pitch Invaders Fc also ended the season on a high note, defeating Crystal Phallus 3 - 1. The most entertaining game of the evening was the faceoff between Peteys Crew and Tractor FC, with Tractor FC winning the game 4 - 2 and underlining the fun but competitive nature of this league.
The Premier League saw some stunning individual performances to see out the season. Tractor FC's Adam Loveridge earned the title of top scorer in the division, netting a great couple of goals in the final week. But it was his teammate, Josh Pullin, who stole the spotlight. Named as the most valued player of the week, Pullin’s exceptional performance was a key factor in Tractor FC's final week victory.
Whilst it's always about the team effort in winning a title we must highlight the goal scoring contribution of Kroos Control captain Luis Nyman. His individual tally of 29 goals was a huge factor in his teams success and he is rewarded with the golden boot for his efforts. While Joshua Hard of Beazer Nunez collects the seasons MVP award for the most MotM prizes through the campaign. Well done to both players on stella individual performances.
As the season came to a close, each team reflected on their journey and growth over the past 14 weeks. It was a season filled with intense competition, immense learning, and the sheer joy of playing the beautiful game. The winners basked in their glory, and the other teams vowed to return stronger in the next season. The don't have long to wait either with the new season kicking off next Tuesday. We look forward to welcoming them all back to do battle again, who will win next seasons title ? Only time will tell.
