Calne Tuesday match report
It was another significant night in the six a side football in the Leisure Leagues Calne Tuesday league at Beversbrook Sports Facility. Every team was in attendance and a great night was had by all.
In the first game of the night The Rushes, depleted because of the holiday season, fielded a significantly weakened side. Not good then when their opponents, Fitness Box, knew a win would ensure they retained their title. The end result was a massive 23-0 victory for Fitness Box.
It was also a thumping result for Netsix and Chill who were defeated 11-0 by Dads Dream Team Reborn. Since lockdown Dads have really turned a corner and are now looking like a team capable of challenging for the title next season.
Next up and another solid result. TMT beat new team Snorting Lisbon FC 7-0. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep the title race alive but TMT will go again next season. Snorting Lisbon will improve as they get used to the league and will help raise the standard of competition.
The final game of the night was the closest of the night. RichTeaWellens went into their game against HOLO FC expecting to win. However, they quickly found themselves in a battle and struggled to get on top of their opponents. Holo senses a chance to secure a win and duly did just that winning 1-0 to claim their first victory of the season.
Thanks everyone we look forward to seeing you all next week!
