Bicester Wednesday 5 a side end of season!

In a gripping culmination to the Bicester Wednesday 5 a side Football League, week 18 saw some remarkable performances in the Premier League Division. The air was charged with excitement and we were treated to an array of stunning goals and extraordinary saves.

PREMIER LEAGUE

The game between Astro Snappers and title chasing Ashton Villa FC was a closely fought encounter, ending with a thrilling scoreline of 9-8 in favour of Ashton Villa FC. Another nail-biting match saw Every Other Week FC and Elmsbrook Utd battle it out to a 5-5 draw, demonstrating the high level of competition in the league.

Men Behaving Chadli faced a tough challenge against Pickled Patch, ultimately falling short with a 6-4 defeat. Additionally, Bog Standard Liege managed to secure a convincing win over FloorU FC with a final score of 6-3.

However, the most eye-catching performance came from newly crowned champions Bard Well FC, who defeated Blokes with a stunning 18-2 victory to pip Ashton Villa to the title on goal difference. This impressive win saw Bard Well FC to clinch the Premier League division crown with a formidable total of 32 points and 16 wins, marking a memorable conclusion to the season.

The Golden Boot winner for the season was Charlie Howlett who scored a remarkable 82 goals in 18 games for the champions Bard Well FC.

As the final whistle blew on the season, we reflect on a remarkable season of football. The Bicester Wednesday 5 a side Football League, particularly the Premier League division, has once again delivered an unforgettable spectacle of the beautiful game.
