The Bicester Wednesday night football league entered its second week with a flurry of goals and an array of individual brilliance in the Premier League division.
PREMIER LEAGUE
The high-octane action kicked off with Ashton Villa FC delivering a remarkable performance against Every Other Week FC, registering a 10-3 victory. Yet it was Jacob Adams of Ashton Villa FC who stole the show with his stellar performance, earning him the title of the most valued player of the week.
In a closely contested match, Elmsbrook Utd managed to edge past Finnemores Under 8s with a 5-3 scoreline. However, the real nail-biter of the night was between Bog Standard Liege and Astro Snappers, where the latter clinched a 6-5 victory in a match that kept us on the edge of our seats till the final whistle.
Men Behaving Chadli were in a league of their own as they defeated Blokes 15-2, while Flying Without Ings showed their prowess with a solid 7-3 win over Pickled Patch. The action-packed night wrapped up with RNO FC putting up an impressive display to beat Queens Park Strangers 8-5.
The top scorer of the Premier League division was George Campo of RNO FC, who found the back of the net an astonishing five times.
These results have certainly set the stage for an exciting season ahead, with teams showcasing both their attacking and defensive skills in the division. The season is still young, and there's plenty of football left to play. But for now, the spotlight belongs to Ashton Villa FC's Jacob Adams and RNO FC's George Campo for their exceptional performances in this week's matches.
Thank you to Ben for running the evening and to all of our teams. Good luck next week in the final round of fixtures before the Christmas break.
