Bicester Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 4

The adrenaline was high last night at the Bicester Wednesday 5-a-side Football league as week 4 unfolded with a series of thrilling matches in the Premier League to kick off 2025.

PREMIER LEAGUE

The night was marked by an impressive performance by Ashton Villa FC, who triumphed over Bog Standard Liege with a score of 9-5. This match served as a testament to the team’s resilience and prowess on the pitch.

However Elmsbrook Utd's remarkable 22-2 victory over Blokes sent them top of the table on goal difference. We have to mention Hamza, the striking force of Elmsbrook Utd, who had an extraordinary performance by scoring a total of 9 goals. This feat has placed him as the top scorer for the Premier League division this week.

In a classic neck-and-neck battle, the squads of Flying Without Ings and Every Other Week FC faced each other, resulting in a 4-2 victory for Every Other Week FC. RNO FC and Finnemores Under 8s also had a thrilling encounter, with Finnemores Under 8s securing a win with a 6-3 score.

Meanwhile, Astro Snappers put on a stunning display against a dogged Queens Park Strangers side, winning their match 10-5. In a gripping draw, Pickled Patch and Men Behaving Chadli fought tooth and nail only to end the match with a score of 5-5.

Amidst the competitive chaos, Lewis Wilks of Pickled Patch emerged as the most valued player of the week. His excellent form and decisive plays were instrumental in his team's performance, earning him well-deserved recognition.

As we look forward to the next week, these vibrant performances on the pitch have set expectations high. The Premier League division of the Bicester Wednesday 5 a side Football league is certainly delivering on its promise of enthralling football and exceptional talent.

Thank you to Ben for running the evening and to all of our players. Good luck next week!
