In the Premier League of the high-octane Bicester Wednesday 5-a-side football league, week 8 saw some stunning performances and end to end games.
PREMIER LEAGUE
A notable match was Ashton Villa FC versus Flying Without Ings, which saw Villa clinching a hard-fought victory with the scoreboard reading 8-5 at the final whistle. However, the star of the night was undoubtedly Jacob Adams from Ashton Villa FC. Adams' commanding performance on the field earned him the title of Most Valued Player of the week, an accolade that truly reflects his supreme skills and unwavering determination.
Meanwhile, RNO FC dominated the pitch against Blokes, with a 19-0 victory. This landslide win was largely thanks to RNO FC's top-notch striker, Reuben Mitchell, who single-handedly netted 10 goals, earning himself the honour of being the top scorer in the Premier League division this week.
However, the excitement doesn't end there. In a nail-biting showdown, Queens Park Strangers were narrowly defeated by Bog Standard Liege who managed to pull off a 4-3 victory.
Elsewhere, Elmsbrook Utd put on an offensive masterclass against Pickled Patch, outscoring them 12-2. Men Behaving Chadli and Every Other Week FC also served up a treat for us with a thrilling match that ended 8-5 in favour of Men Behaving Chadli.
Finally, despite a valiant effort from Astro Snappers, they were unable to hold off the relentless Finnemores Under 8s, who secured a convincing 10-3 victory.
Overall, week 8 of the Premier League division of the Bicester Wednesday 5-a-side football league was a spectacle of skill, tenacity, and sporting drama, encapsulating the very essence of the beautiful game.
Thank you to Ben for running the evening and to all of our players. Good luck next week!
