Bicester Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 9

In a thrilling week nine of the Bicester Wednesday 5 a side Football Premier League, we were treated to a series of captivating matches with exciting results that prove this season is far from over.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In a riveting action-packed night, Finnemores Under 8s faced a tough test against Ashton Villa FC, falling short just 7-4. Every Other Week FC also put up a spirited fight, but it was Astro Snappers who seized the victory with a 8-4 scoreline.

Elsewhere, Elmsbrook Utd succumbed to a humbling 10-3 defeat against Men Behaving Chadli, who put on a splendid display of teamwork and skill. However, the match of the night undoubtedly was the nail-biting encounter between Bog Standard Liege and Pickled Patch, with the former edging out a 6-5 victory. A special mention goes to the Flying Without Ings and RNO FC match that ended in a 7-3 triumph for RNO FC.

The star of the night, however, was Marcus from Men Behaving Chadli who scored a stunning total of six goals, securing his spot as the top goal scorer in the Premier League division this week.

But it was Tom McEwan from Bog Standard Liege who shone brightest, earning the title of the Most Valued Player of the week with his phenomenal gameplay and commendable sportsmanship.

With just two weeks left in the season, the competition is heating up, and teams are battling fiercely for their standings. However, it's never too early to start thinking about next season. Interested teams are encouraged to secure their place for the next season.

As the season draws to a close, we applaud all teams for their efforts, and eagerly anticipate the final weeks of this highly competitive league.

A big thank you to Ben for running the evening and to all of our players. Good luck next week.
