Match Report- 13th February

Winners- 2 Girls One Schlupp

A great first season in the league for these boys who have displayed what a well set up team can do and have ground out results even when they weren't playing well. Eventually winning the league by seven points is no easy task. Can anyone beat them next season?

Runners-up- FFFC

Another good season for these league veterans who at times have played some delightful football. Some poor performances at vital stages off the season let them down but I'm sure they will want the title next season.

Player of the season- Dylan Farrow

A superb on and off the ball player who has lead 2 Girls to title success this season as Captain. Scoring some fine goals and organising the team well throughout has been instrumental in their success. However, his team mates might only say he won it because he was the only one signed up to the website. But you have to be in it to win it! 

FRIEDNLY- Danny Dyers 6 v 3 Banterlona

Danny Dyers kindly agreed to play a friendly against Banterlona which saw them come out winners. Thanks to both teams for competing in this.

Peg Doesn't Pass 1 v 2 2 Girls One Schlupp- MOM: Dylan Farrow

In their celebratory game as now champions of the league 2 Girls could of been excused for taking their foot off the pedal but this didn't happen. In what was a close match which highlighted how competitive the league is, 2 Girls managed to take the early lead with a it of a scramble around the area resulting in the ball in the back of the net. Peg soon hit back though with a great counter attacking goal. Both sides had chances from then on but just couldn't get it past either keeper. However, it was 2 Girls that managed to find the late winner with a curling shot off the ost going in. A great game to be part off and it rounded the now champions season off perfectly.

FFFC 4 V 6 1truesaxon

A goal fest to end the night in this one with both teams trying to outscore each other. The defensive side to each teams game were some what lacking in this match but with little to play for who can blame them for just going for it. Out of the 10 goals which were scored there were some crackers with individual brilliant efforts and great team goals. The match had everything alond with a 40 yard top corner screamer only being dissalowed because it came straight from a kick-in. A great way to end the season!
