Newark on Tour 3 v 2 Danny Dyers Chocolate Harmonculus
In what was a fiery game some decent goals were scored and chances were a plenty. Both teams were able to find space and string some nice pieces of play together in what was a tight end to end game. It was some individual brilliance that won the game for Newark and overall that is what separated the two teams. Next week Newark have a points match while Danny Dyers take on Lads on Toure. ScissormeTravis 2 v 4 2 Girls 1 Schlupp
New boys to the league, 2 Girls 1 Schlupp, started off with an impressive win against what looked like a improved ScissormeTravis side. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp liked to get the ball down and play some nice football which lead to most of their goals being scored. ScissormeTravis looked improved from last season and put in a solid display and could be a surprise package when it comes to the business end of the season. Next week they face Squad with 2 Girls 1 Schlupp playing Peg.
Peg Doesn’t pass 5 v 0 Points Match
Peg had already received an automatic win due to having a points match but played a friendly against Lads on Toure. Thanks to Lads on Toure for playing the friendly which they ended up winning.
Lads on Toure 2 v 1 FFFC
Lads on Toure kicked off their season with an impressive win against the strong FFFC side. Lads on Toure will be looking to improve on their third place finish last season and gain some silverware this season. Both teams defended well and chances were at a minimal however, Lads on Toure just managed to find an extra gear to seal the win. FFFC will be looking to be up their come the end of January but will have to wait till next week to get their first points on the board when they take on 1truesaxon. Lads on Toure face Danny Dyers.
Squad FC 5 v 1 1truesaxon
Squad returned to the league with pretty much the same team as before and started were they left off. They looked like an impressive outfit who have a mixture of different talents throughout their team and look like the team to beat this season. 1trusaxon did manage to create some chances but couldn’t find the target but will again be up there battling for the medals. Squad face ScissormeTravis next week while 1truesaxon take on FFFC. MOM- Dan Drown
