A thrilling season of football came to an end this week at the Bishop Burton College pitches of the Beverley Monday 6-a-side league, as our champions were crowned.
In the Premier League, Maradona Kebab once again retained their title after a terrific season, with just one loss in ten games. Little Boys Clubs came up clutch on final matchday, beating the Academy 2-0 to send them down to Division 1 and surviving by the skin of their teeth. Beverley La Coruna secured a second-place finish with a 2-0 win over Murder on Zidane's Floor.
Nutty Nutters in Division 1, sealed promotion and the division victory in style, winning 3-0 comfortably against Fat Fighters. Stiff Richard FC also claimed a huge result, as they cruised to a 4-0 win against Inter Peroni and secured promotion after a race that went right down to the wire.
Expected Toulouse came through to win 2-1 in a tough battle against Viking Rangers, but remained in the bottom two on goal difference after another rivalry that went down to the end with these two.
