The latest round of fixtures saw both league leaders make it a Magnificent Seven and continue their 100% records with just three games to play.
Maradona Kebab are attempting to become only the second team to successfully defend the Premier League title, whilst Little Boys Clubs are trying to bounce straight back after an unexpected relegation last season. Only one team has ever completed a perfect season and both teams will be looking to add their names to the exclusive list.
Maradona Kebab continued their march with a 9-0 victory over Murder On Zidane's Floor and not only hold a perfect record, but incredibly are still yet to concede a goal this season. However, Beverley La Coruna are a tough adversary and they made it 7 wins out of 8 last night with a forfeit walkover of Expected Toulouse, despite defeat in their Points Match. Next week sees the top 2 face off, and all eyes will be on Pitch 1 at 7:30 to see if Beverley La Coruna can pull a rabbit out the hat and go level with the defending champions going into the final 2 games.
Relegation from the Premier League is still up in the air, with only 4 points separating the remaining teams and some crucial matches looming, The Academy saw off FC Club de Futbol 4-1 last night to put them in a strong position, whilst their opponents have it all to do in the final 3 games to avoid an immediate return to Division One.
Little Boys Clubs got the job done at the top of Division One in a tie that saw first vs second, but had to dig deep and avoid a late scare to win 2-1 against a patched up Viking Rangers, who themselves are looking to stay in the promotion hunt.
Little Boys Clubs now need just a point to confirm promotion, currently sitting 6 points clear of third with three to play, but realistically it would need an unprecedented capitulation at this point and Little Boys Clubs can start looking forward to Premier League football next season.
Viking Rangers stayed second despite defeat, but the gap to 3rd is down to just a point as Put Matip In recorded a 5-0 walkover victory after Nutty Nutters forfeited the game, and also recorded an impressive Points Match victory over Beverley La Coruna to show their top division credentials. The two teams avoid each other in the final three games, so Put Matip In will be looking for a favour from elsewhere to allow them to nick second place in what would be an impressive first season if they pull it off, having only joined the league in game week 5 with an inherited record.
At the other end of Division One, Inter Peroni recorded a 3-1 victory over Crystal Phallus in an entertaining game.
