Local football fever reached a fever pitch last night with week 9 of the Brackley Wednesday 5-A-Side Football League. This week saw nail-biting clashes unfold in both the Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League, the games were nothing short of exhilarating. Brackley Unathletic were narrowly edged out 2-1 by Dtam FC in a tightly contested match. TekkersSlovakia kept fans on edge as they squeezed a victory pulling off a 4-3 win against Deddy. Croughton Colts demonstrated a dazzling display of attacking football, overpowering Packeta FC with a 6-3 victory. Packeta FC’s gallant effort, however, was not enough to secure them the win. Meanwhile, Khedira Screaming outscored Goals Aloud 5-3 in what can best be described as a goal-fest.

Over in Division 1, the intensity was just as palpable. Real Sosobad managed to sneak a 3-2 victory over Beachborough Boys, while FC GRITBIN lost to Minimum Wagers in a 2-1 defeat. Champagne Super Rovers shone on the field, thrashing Pique Blinders with a stunning 7-1 victory. In the final Division 1 match of the night, Pegleg XI secured a 4-3 win against TheBanburyBabes in an exciting game that kept spectators on their toes.

One of the standout players to emerge from the week's action was Ryan Hayward of Minimum Wagers. His exceptional performance secured him the title of 'Most Valued Player' of the week, raising the bar for his fellow players in the coming games.

Be sure to stay tuned for more high-octane football action in the Brackley Wednesday 5-A-Side Football League.
