Gosport Monday 7 a side news - match day 2

In yet another exhilarating weekly instalment of the Gosport Monday 7-a-side Football League, we were treated to a night of non-stop action as the teams battled it out on the pitch, setting the tone for an unforgettable season.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, a close encounter saw Lost Rovers narrowly clinching a dramatic 4-3 victory over Real Sosobad. Kai Sterne from Lost Rovers emerged as the star of the night, netting two solid goals, leading his team to victory and achieving the distinction of top scorer in his division. His exceptional performance on the field was a demonstration of skill, athleticism, and a thirst for victory. Elsewhere in the division, a tightly contested match between Exeter Gently and League 1 Crew ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams hungry for a win in their next outing.

DIVISION TWO

Meanwhile, in Division 2, Borussia Teeth triumphed over Blue Star Pompey with a clean sheet, courtesy of a 2-0 win. Will Cardinal, who played an instrumental role in Borussia Teeth's victory, showcased his scoring prowess by netting two goals, earning him the top scorer title for Division 2 this week. The division also saw a draw between Haven't Jota Clue and Bowsers Boys, ending at 1-1.

However, the highlight of the night in Division 2 was the goal fest between Working Class On Grass and Athletico Moretti. Athletico Moretti dominated the pitch with a 7-2 victory, marking a memorable match for the team.

As we move into week 3 of the Gosport Monday league, anticipation is mounting. The performances by top scorers Kai Sterne and Will Cardinal have set the standard for the competition, we eagerly await the battles that lie ahead in both divisions.
