Gosport Monday 7 a side news - match day 6

In an electric week of football, Week 6 of the Gosport Monday 7-a-side football league allowed us to witness some high-octane clashes across Division 1 and Division 2.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the nail-biting encounter between League 1 Crew and Exeter Gently ended in a 1-1 draw, speaking volumes about the competitive spirit of both sides. Jewventus, however, demonstrated an outstanding performance defeating OnlyFouls 5-0. The week's highlight was undoubtedly the Lost Rovers' majestic 9-2 victory over Real Sosobad. Kai Sterne of Lost Rovers emerged as the top scorer of Division 1, netting a hat-trick.

DIVISION TWO

Moving to Division 2, Borussia Teeth came out victorious in a solid 2-0 encounter against Blue Star Pompey. A special mention to Oscar Bennett, who scored both goals for Borussia Teeth, solidifying his position as the top scorer in Division 2 this week. Bowsers Boys managed to clinch a 3-1 victory against Haven't Jota Clue, thanks to their tactical superiority and relentless attack. Lastly, Athletico Moretti and Working Class On Grass put up a thrilling show, with the latter emerging as winners by a slim margin of 3-2.

These compelling league matches have set the pace for the rest of the season. Every point counts in the road to the grand finale, and teams have shown they are willing to give it their all. As the Gosport Monday 7-a-side football league moves into its seventh week, we are eager to see how the league unfolds. Who will emerge as the champions? Only time will tell.

Thank you to Kiefer for running the evening along with our referee's. Thank you to all of our teams and good luck on the 16th Dec when we return for our last matches before the Christmas break. A reminder there is no league next week due to the venue having some work down at the pitch.
