New Gosport Monday 7 a side season kicks off!

The Gosport Monday 7-a-side Football League kicked off its new season with a series of exciting matches in both Division 1 and Division 2 in some challenging conditions.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Exeter Gently caught everyone's attention with a commanding 4-0 victory over Div 2 champions Bowsers Boys. The Lost Rovers also had a successful start to their season, with a narrow 2-1 win against League 1 Crew. However, last season runners up Real Sosobad enjoyed a 5-0 win over newly promoted Borussia Teeth.

The star of the Division 1 matches was arguably Danny Audin of Real Sosobad who managed to find the back of the net three times, solidifying his position as the division's top scorer for the week.

DIVISION TWO

Meanwhile in Division 2, Blue Star Pompey and OnlyFouls started their season with a 1-1 draw. Athletico Moretti had a rough start to their campaign, suffering a 10-1 defeat to Gangstas Allardyce. Haven't Jota Clue edged out Jewventus by 2-1 in a closely contested match.

The standout performer in the Division 2 was Callum Mann of Gangstas Allardyce, who mirrored Audin's achievement by scoring a hat trick.

This week's matches have set up an exciting stage for the rest of the season. With such dominant performances from Real Sosobad and Gangstas Allardyce, it will be interesting to see if any of the other teams can challenge them for the top spot in their respective divisions as the season progresses. The star players Danny Audin and Callum Mann have also set the standard high as the initial top scorers in this competitive league. Will there be any other player who can surpass them in the upcoming weeks? Only time will tell.
