In a thrilling week of football, the Pencoed Monday 6-a-side league saw a flurry of goals and intense competition across its five divisions, with certain teams stamping their mark as early season leaders.
In the Premier League division, Joga Bonito showcased their prowess with a dominant 4-1 victory over Route 1 Llan, while Adi FC edged out Black Chicken FC in a tightly-contested 2-1 game. But the biggest surprise was Clwb Brewers, who trounced ABCDE FC 4-0, cementing their top position in the league.
Moving on to Division 1, Tondu Vets managed to pull off an exciting 3-2 win against Cheesy Puffs and Six Offenders outperformed Moe Leicester with a 5-2 scoreline. The battle in Division 1 is heating up with both winners looking to stake their claim at the top of the table.
In Division 2, Gangsters Allardyce secured a comfortable victory over Inter Yanan, 4-2, and Krul Runnings bested The Goonies 2-0. Port Fail also had a strong performance, defeating Rustler Burgers 4-0.
Division 3 saw F72 triumph over Zizedines Zebabs with a 5-2 win and Pain In Dias won 5-2 against FC 87. The standout match was a nail-biter between Taxi Inflation and Breathing Out My Arsenal, with the latter clinching a narrow 1-0 win.
Lastly, in Division 4, Inter Yamami proved too strong for Bomb Squad, securing a closely-fought 2-1 victory.
