In the chesterfield Sunday Football league, week 17 proved to be quite an exhilarating week of football with some intriguing results across all three divisions.
In Division 1, Newbold FC dominated the field with an impressive 9-0 triumph over KAVs Essentials, marking the highest scoring match of the week. Meanwhile, LADZIO managed to secure a close 2-1 victory against Bramersall, confirming their formidable presence in the league. Matip Is In, however, wasn't far behind, putting up an incredible performance with a 6-0 win over Athletico Biffin.
Moving onto Division 2, Hybrid Hove Albion came out on top with a decisive 5-2 win against Chezzy Duds. In a similar fashion, IMX FC overwhelmed Dyslexia United, securing a 5-1 victory. The Jerry Hat-Tricks also managed to clinch a comfortable win with a 4-1 scoreline against Edgington Boys FC. However, the highlight of the division was Xavi Dodgers' outstanding performance, beating “Norfolk & Good” 6-3.
Finally, in Division 3, the match between Committing Grimes and Matip Stinks saw the former emerge victorious with a tight 2-1 win. The Spiral Slugs, on the other hand, throttled Park Road FC 6-1. The contest between Parking The Bus Fc and Techy Tandoori ended in a 2-2 draw, while Brexit Or Exit outscored Somersall All Stars 6-1. Walking Football FC managed a narrow victory over Brexit Birdholme, ending the game 1-0.
With an abundance of goals and great football on display, top scorers for each division were: Newbold FC for Division 1, Xavi Dodgers for Division 2, and Spiral Slugs for Division 3.
