Week 9 of the Chesterfield Sunday Football League saw some intense action across its five divisions.
In Division 1, Newbold FC claimed a narrow victory over Ladzio in a thrilling seven-goal match. Newbold FC displayed a brilliant performance, winning 4-3 in a game that saw the lead change several times. In another match from the same division, Whingerworth defeated Vaffanculo FC 3-1, demonstrating their dominance on the field.
Moving on to Division 3, Hybrid Hove Albion and CarrVale FC played out a closely contested match which ended in a 2-2 draw. DFM FC recorded a crushing 6-0 victory over FC Copenbadly, highlighting their prowess in front of the goal. The Matip Stinks versus Paralympiacos match also ended in a draw, with both teams scoring two goals each.
Division 4 saw an exciting match between AC MIGRAN and Nikitas In Parris, with the former triumphing 6-1. Intermigran FC overpowered Park Road FC in a high-scoring game, winning 7-3. Unathletico Madrid and Committing Grimes ended their match in a 3-3 draw, showing an evenly matched competition.
In the final division, Division 5, Dyslexia United came out on top against Parking The Bus FC, winning 3-1 in a tightly contested match.
The week's top scorers were Newbold FC from Division 1, DFM FC from Division 3, and Intermigran FC from Division 4. Their excellent performances have set the pace for the remaining part of the season.
