Set the Scene of a warm Burntwood evening under the Leisure Centre floodlights... Where we witnessed another exhilarating night of 6-a-side football as teams battled it out in Week 10 of the season. With matches taking place in the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, the competition showcased some truly thrilling encounters.
In the Premier League division, The Gradient demonstrated their prowess by securing an impressive 5-0 victory over struggling BELT FC. Meanwhile, Burntwood FC dominated The CTL Elite with a resounding 7-1 triumph. Ray Priests displayed their attacking prowess with a convincing 3-0 win against Pete Always Scores Bangers. A real shocker against 1st placed Peter boy! Lastly, Boca Seniors and Compsta Marp showcased their mettle in an intense 3-3 draw. Stuttering both of them in their quest for supremacy in the table.
Moving on to Division 1, 2 Goals 1 Cup and Wheel FC fought tooth and nail to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Soup King FC narrowly edged past Boat Inn Rovers with a narrow 1-0 victory. Impressive work lads Chasetown! Chasetown Seniors and Sheffield Monday battled valiantly to secure a 3-3 stalemate, not something you see everyday- 2 6 goal thriller draws in one night, wow! Meanwhile Harriers clinched a 1-0 win against Norfolkinchance.
Lastly, in Division 2, Fat Knacker And Co emerged victorious with a tight 2-1 win over WIP FC - a good night for captain Gary all round then. MONDAY WARRIORS showed their dominance with a convincing 2-0 triumph over Unathletico Madrid in the late late show. Not In Ya Mums Forest secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against The Wastemen, and a fair play award goes to them for staying and helping out by playing a friendly straight afterwards too :)
