Burntwood Monday 6 a side news 2023-09-11

Play in the Burntwood Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football league witnessed a heady mix of passion, skill, and rivalry last night in its 12th week that saw teams across Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 divisions battle it out in closely contested matches.

In the Premier League, Pete Always Scores Bangers displayed precision and high-voltage action on the field to secure a 4-2 victory over BELT FC. This gane also marked farewell to BELT who shall now be leaving us after playing out their 2 game notice period, all the best lads! The high-octane match between Boca Seniors and Leave Me Arcelona ended in a thrilling 8-8 draw, highlighting the cutthroat competition the league has to offer. (Yes, 8-8, you read the right! No idea where the keepers were mind you...) In another nail-biter, Burntwood FC secured a hard-fought victory over Compsta Marp with a 2-1 scoreline. This certainly makes the title race interesting now!!

Division 1 saw Harriers demonstrating their dominance over 2 Goals 1 Cup with a resounding 6-0 victory. In another match, FC Prodigies outplayed Chasetown Seniors with a 6-1 win, while Purple Cobras FC and Boat Inn Rovers ended their encounter with a 1-1 tie. You may not recognise the Cobras, but a big welcome to them as they are a brand new team joining our league. Not a bad start either!?

In other news, Norfolkinchance managed to outscore Wheel FC 3-1, and Soup King FC edged out Sheffield Monday in a thrilling 4-3 victory. Tasty stuff...

In Division 2, Patty Freaks FC did not spare any effort to ensure a solid 3-0 victory over Not In Ya Mums Forest. Despite that thrashing, these lads still stayed on for a friendly afterwards so hats off there! MONDAY WARRIORS thrashed Kepa Clean Sheet with a 5-0 win, and The Wastemen fell to Unathletico Madrid 1-3. The Spanish are really starting to turn their luck around which is great to see :)

Their scintillating performances have set the bar high for the subsequent matches, promising more exciting actions in the coming weeks of Burntwood Monday Football league.

At present, we have just 1 (potentially 2) spaces free in our Monday League. With half-decent weather and so much fun to be had, this won't be the case for long. Sign up yourself or your group of mates today!;
