Last night was witness to pulsating action across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, in the Week 6 of the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football league.

In the Premier League, Burntwood Fc made their mark with a 2-0 win against Pete Always Scores Bangers. These 2 godzillas went head to head with the home team making a statement in the league with their stout defensive play, their strikers found the back of the net twice. Could this be their season for fame? 

Further down the table, The Gradient and Trooper FC battled it out in a double header friendly. Ray Priests were able to take some positives from their performance too...

In Division 1, WIP FC secured a decisive 4-1 victory against Harriers. The CTL Elite edged out 2 Goals 1 Cup, with a close call of 2-1. Wheel FC and FC Prodigies offered the spectators a nail-biting competition, with Wheel FC claiming the win with a final score line of 3-2. 

Fat Knacker And Co shut out Poms United with a 3-0 win. Sheffield Monday was narrowly bested by Norfolkinchance, finishing the match 2-1. The East Coast boys clinching that weekly Match of the Day contest in this tense contest. 

Division 2 saw Not In Ya Mums Forest trump Purple Cobras FC with a 3-0 score. Patty Freaks FC and Scrambled Legs brought a close contest to the pitch, with Patty Freaks FC coming out on top, 2-1.

 MONDAY WARRIORS managed a slim 1-0 victory over Just Bloata. Norton FC pulled off a memorable win against Boat Inn Rovers, and Kepa Clean Sheet emerged victorious over Unathletico Madrid with an impressive 6-2 scoreline. You can't help but admire their perseverance nonetheless!

Despite the competition, the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed throughout the matches. The performances from all teams set the tone for the rest of the season, promising more high-octane football action in the forthcoming weeks.

Our excellent, modern astro turf surface means that weekly matches are almost always allowed to be played. Bringing you all much excitement. However please take care when arriving departing the facility and pitch area itself due to patches of ice. There's no bragging rights when an injury occurs off the pitch after all haha!
