The Burntwood Monday Football League graced the field once again last night with its second week of the season, delivering breathtaking sportsmanship and thrilling games across the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3.
Premier League games were filled with intense moments as Burntwood Fc scraped a victory against Norton FC with a final scoreline of 2-1, showing their dominance in the league. A massive pat on the back to the newly promoted Norton, who certainly gave the big boys a run for their money. The CTL Elite also made a statement by trouncing Harriers 3-1, while Wheel FC secured a clean 2-0 win against Willian Dollar Baby.
In Division 1, the match between Havent Jota Clue FC and Dank FC ended in a 1-1 draw, showcasing their evenly matched skill levels. Boys To Men managed a slim victory over Basic FC with a 1-0 score. Monday Warriors demonstrated their superiority on the other hand, by keeping M Bangers at bay with a 3-0 triumph. Meanwhile, Patty Freaks FC stole the show by running riot over Scrambled Legs, handing them a 7-0 defeat.
Division 2 brought equally thrilling matches, with 2 Goals 1 Cup barely defeating Kepa Clean Sheet 1-0. PSV Hangover, on the other hand, secured a 4-2 win against Soup King FC. These two Marsden empire teams switching on the friendly fire button to determine superiority! Meanwhile Bargain Beers And Wines handed Norton Canes a crushing 5-2 defeat in last night's MoTD! Trooper FC also delivered a stunning performance, creating a white wash via a 5-0 win against Purple Cobras FC.
Finally, in Division 3, Class On Grass edged out Munter Hunters 2-1 while Pro Clubs Irl secured a hard-fought victory over How I Met Your Mata FC with a score of 1-0. TTFC also bagged three points against Queen Park Strangers with a 1-0 win. Outstanding efforts all around despite these low scorelines!
With the second week of the Burntwood Monday Football League coming to an end, fans are already looking forward to the next round of matches. The teams will be hoping to carry their momentum forward as we approach Week 3 of the competition.
