Burntwood Monday 6 a side news 2024-10-28

Play in the Burntwood Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In the heart-pounding week 12 of the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football league, several unforgettable matches unfolded that left fans and players eager for the next round. With only two weeks now left in the season, anticipation is building as teams secure their places for the upcoming season.

Starting with the Premier League, and our Match of the Day! In an extraordinary encounter, the CTL Elite and Burntwood FC faced off in a tense match that ended in a 2-2 draw. Absolute drama at the top of the table! And with football, you never know what’s around the corner… with the gap between 1st and 2nd so tight, could CTL pull off the unthinkable?? Meanwhile, Norton FC and Sheffield Monday delivered a nail-biting game, with Sheffield Monday narrowly clinching a 3-2 victory. Harriers also claimed success with a 2-0 win against Wheel FC. A real shocker which we love to see!

In Division 1, Basic FC demonstrated their dominance by securing a 5-1 victory over Havent Jota Clue FC. Dank FC also showed their strength by defeating M Bangers 6-0. A absolute rout of a fixture! Patty Freaks FC displayed an impressive performance by beating Boys To Men 6-1. The final match saw Monday Warriors lose to Scrambled Legs, 0-2. An absolutely critical match at the crest of the Championship table! Scrambled legs got what they needed, albeit not the margin they dreamed of I’m sure. The trophy now hangs in the balance by goal difference alone!

Moving to Division 2, PSV Hangover fell to 2 Goals 1 Cup in a 2-6 defeat. Just what the doctor ordered of course! Kepa Clean Sheet made a strong statement with a 6-2 victory over Unathletico Madrid. Nice to see they still haven’t given up the ghost. Lastly, Trooper FC narrowly beat Bargain Beers And Wines, 2-1.

In Division 3, Purple Cobras FC lost to Class On Grass 1-2. The grass men clinging onto hope of a miracle going into next week. A thrilling match between Munter Hunters and Pro Clubs Irl saw the latter win with a 6-5 score. Jeeeez! But is that the end of Munters story this season? Inter Your Nan United defeated Queen Park Strangers 2-1, and TTFC beat How I Met Your Mata FC 0-2. A perfect day for TTFC as they are literally within touching distance of their first trophy!

As we look forward to the final two weeks of the season, all eyes will be on the top scorers from each division, who have yet to be announced. Their performances in the upcoming matches will undoubtedly shape the outcome of this exciting season.

With next season just around the corner, now is the perfect time to consider joining this beautiful weekly game night! Single players and teams of your mates are all welcome!!
