In the scintillating world of amateur football, the second week of the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side league showed us some fierce competition.
In the Premier League division, Burntwood FC showed their dominance with a 5-0 win against Norton FC, starting the week with a bang. Following closely, Bunch of Scruffs emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over Scrambled Legs. The newest hotshots on the block have hit the ground running! The CTL Elite scraped by with a 2-1 win against the Harriers, showing their prowess in a close match. The game between Dank FC and Sheffield Monday resulted in a goal fuelled final game of the session, finished 3-1 to the Yorkshire boys!
Division 1 saw intense action as well. Athletico Bilbao Baggins outclassed Havent Jota Clue FC with a 4-0 victory. Our Match of the Day pick was fair for both entrants, but absolutely crazy at the same time! In an electrifying match, Schwartz's Young Kids and 2 Goals 1 Cup shared the spoils with an equal 5-5 score. Fab U Lous! In other news, Patty Freaks FC edged past Diddy's Dribblers 2-1 and Basic FC overpowered Monday Ringers with a 6-3 scoreline.
In Division 2, TTFC managed a slim 4-3 victory over Kepa Clean Sheet, the promotion up has only propelled them onto bigger and better targets! Meanwhile Boys to Men triumphed 3-1 over PSV Hangover. The highlight of this division was the thrilling encounter between Davos Diddy Party and Class On Grass, with the latter clinching a 3-2 win. So close from the new fellas nonetheless…
Meanwhile in Division 3, How I Met Your Mata FC strained out a 1-0 victory over Inter Your Nan United. Trooper FC solidified their position by blanking Pro Clubs Irl with a 3-0 scoreline. Unathletico Madrid succumbed to a 5-2 defeat against Queen Park Strangers. Who knows what way this division will turn next!
