In an adrenaline-filled night of action, Week 4 of the Burntwood Monday Football League brought some exhilarating contests with teams battling it out across four divisions namely; Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.
In the Premier League, the match of the day was a thrilling contest between Scrambled Legs and The CTL Elite, which saw the former emerging victorious with a score of 5-3. These two behemoths are destined for great heights! The match was closely followed by a nail-biter between Dank FC and Norton FC, with the latter securing a narrow victory at 3-2. Burntwood FC showed dominance against Harriers with a clean 2-0 win. Proving why they deserve the glory for back to back seasons! Bunch Of Scruffs put on an impressive performance with a 3-0 victory over Sheffield Monday, rewriting the hierarchy!
Division 1 saw some intense football as well. Schwartz's Young Kids fell short against a rampaging ATHLETICO BILBAO BAGGINS, losing the match 2-3. Encouraging from Schwartz nonetheless, who are still glued to the bottom. Early front runners it would seem! Diddys Dribblers outplayed Basic FC, securing a 5-3 win, while Patty Freaks FC lost to 2 Goals 1 Cup with a wide margin of 2-6.
In Division 2, National Gridiots lost to Class On Grass 1-3. Kepa Clean Sheet bagged a narrow win against Davos Diddy Party with a 2-1 score. Paul’s Rent Boys trounced PSV Hangover 9-2 and TTFC subdued boys To Men 3-4. Looking solid for both these set of lads!
Division 3 is still wide, wide open! It saw Queen Park Strangers secure a hard-fought victory against Pro Clubs Irl 2-1, while Whopper Walsh snatched a win against Trooper FC with a tight score of 3-2. We also had an interesting friendly between two of our newest teams who will be eligible to start very soon! Watch this space…
