Play in the Burntwood Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In the world of 6-a-side local football, the latest round of fixtures in the Burntwood Monday league saw plenty of high drama and intense competition. Week 5 of the season brought us some exciting matches, with each division showcasing the impressive skills of the local teams.

In the Premier League division, Burntwood FC maintained their dominance of the table with an outstanding 5-0 victory over Sheffield Monday. The other significant fixture saw our weekly match of the day take place! A fierce battle took place at the foot of the table, with two eager beavers looking for their first win. Dank FC narrowly outscoring Harriers 4-3 in a thrilling encounter, ensuring the competition remains heated. A real boost for Dank, whilst Harriers are unfortunately marked as relegation favourites!

Down in Division 1, ATHLETICO BILBAO BAGGINS made their mark with a resounding 5-0 triumph against Diddys Dribblers. Matching the same advanced stride of their idols Burntwood FC! Schwartz's Young Kids also demonstrated their prowess with a close 3-2 victory over The Grillbillies. But it was Patty Freaks FC who stole the show with an exciting 6-2 win against Basic FC. A real firecracker of a division is in progress now.

Division 2 witnessed TTFC overcoming Class On Grass in a one-sided 6-0 game, doing what they do best… Meanwhile Paul’s Rent Boys clinched a high scoring match 7-2 against Kepa Clean Sheet. They keep up the pressure right at the crown of the table! The tightly contested match between PSV Hangover and National Gridiots ended 2-1 in favour of the latter.

Lastly, in Division 3, goals were hard to come by with How I Met Your Mata FC and Queen Park Strangers playing out a goalless draw. Gutting for both teams, who are separated in the table by such fine margins! Inter Your Nan United and Whopper Walsh both won their respective games, keeping their hopes alive in the division. It’s now wide open down here, with just Unathletico Madrid still waiting to register points!

Based on the impressive scorelines, it is clear that the Burntwood Monday league is home to some highly talented footballers. As we look forward to the next round of games, the real winners are the fans who continue to enjoy some fantastic local football.
