The Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football League came back to life with remarkable action in week 9. The Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 all saw exhilarating games that kept spectators on the edge of the sidelines!

In the Premier League division, Bunch Of Scruffs secured a narrow win over Dank FC, edging them out 2-1 in a fierce battle. A real battle from Dank who fear relegation. Scruffs, on the other hand, have the complete opposite goals for this season. This crucial win ensuring they retain their top spot in the table! Burntwood FC dominated their game against Scrambled Legs, ending with a decisive 8-1 victory. The title holders still chase on, determined to keep their trophy!

In other news, the match between Norton FC and The CTL Elite ended in a 1-1 deadlock, frustrating for CTL, who have high hopes based on their current form to date. Meanwhile Harriers suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat against Sheffield Monday.

The Division 1 saw heated action as 2 Goals 1 Cup overcame The Grillbillies 2-0. As it stands they are the prime contenders in the chasing pack for that Championship trophy. They just need a bit of good luck now! Diddys Dribblers put a strong performance against Burntwood Ballers FC, finishing the game at 5-1. Patty Freaks FC snatched a narrow win over Victor Moses Garden with a 3-2 scoreline. Much needed for them, but an encouraging start for the Gardener new boys nontheless. ATHLETICO BILBAO BAGGINS outplayed Basic FC 4-2 in a thrilling match. Close, but no cigar for Basic, who tried their best to create an upset at the top!

Division 2 was no different, with Class On Grass beating Boys To Men 3-2. National Gridiots came out on top against Davos Diddy Party with a 4-2 scoreline. Meanwhile, we have our famous Match of the Day at the top of the table. It was 1st v 2nd with Paul’s Rent Boys looking to bat away the nearest competition. It was a VERY close encounter where Paul's boys can let out a sigh of relief - they narrowly defeated Stroke Tity FC 2-1. Onwards they march!

In Division 3, Trooper FC and Queen Park Strangers ended their match in a 2-2 stalemate, while Inter Your Nan United clinched a 2-0 victory over Pro Clubs Irl. Much needed for them! A crazy sight is that the top two teams are still level on points. With the top 4 spots being split by a mere 4 points, it's still anyones guess as to how this div will pan out!

As we creep onwards, the favourites are starting to leave their mark behind. These teams now set the benchmark for the rest of the season, as the action continues in the Burntwood Monday Football League.
