Burntwood Monday Football League Week 13 Roundup

The thirteenth week of the Burntwood Monday Football League turned up the heat with thrilling matches across all divisions that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.

In the Premier League, Burntwood FC dominated the field with a solid 5-2 victory over Dank FC. Bunch Of Scruffs followed suit, blanking Norton FC in a 5-0 shutout. The top two lock horns yet again! As we enter the final week with everything still on the table… The CTL Elite were unable to display their usual prowess as they were overcome by Sheffield Monday with a score of 4-0. Meanwhile, Scrambled Legs and Harriers ended their match in a tense 3-3 draw.

Down the ladder in Division 1, The Grillbillies snatched a 1-0 victory over Diddys Dribblers in a nail-biting encounter. We also have a 8-goal thriller for the classic Match of the Day! It came courtesy of Basic FC who managed to hold off a determined 2 Goals 1 Cup to secure a sensational 5-3 win! Just how we love em :)

In the Division 2 contests, Kepa Clean Sheet narrowly defeated National Gridiots 3-2 in a thrilling match. Meanwhile, Stroke Tity FC demonstrated their prowess with a convincing 4-0 win over Davos Diddy Party. Paul's Rent Boys cruised to an easy win against Boys To Men with a score of 7-1, they wrap up the title a week early - and in style!!! Meanwhile Class On Grass almost mustered an upset with a mere 1-0 loss against PSV Hangover.

Last but not least, in Division 3, Pro Clubs Irl and Karius To Glory set the pace with 2-0 and 4-0 victories over Broadfield FC and Trooper FC respectively. The match between Queen Park Strangers and Whopper Walsh ended in a 0-0 stalemate while FCDapperGirls overpowered Inter Your Nan United with a score of 4-2. The deadlock at the top has finally been broken… will it stay like this or does further drama await next Monday!?
