It was another good evening of 6 a side football in Burntwood on Monday which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled, barring a very late cancellation from Class on Fake Grass and FC Bantalona who we were unaware wouldn't be attending, both will be spoken to and confirmed to return on Monday 18th March.
Chase FC were in dominant form as they dished out a thrashing to third placed Burntwood AFC, 8-1 the final score as they look well on course for an incredible third season with a 100% record. The next best team Brutal Deluxe were true to form as they won again, 3-2 against Exeter Gently in an entertaining match, the only team to stop them this season is Chase FC themselves. Norfolkinchance gave their survival hopes a boost with a 2-1 win over Dyslexia Untied who they're now just a point behind.
In Division One, Walkabout FC stay three points clear at the top as they won 2-0 against The Price Is Right, Burntwood Dads also won 3-1 against new team Expected Toulouse to remain in second place, but Only Fools remain on their tail and are just a point behind second place following their 3-0 win over Gibbo's U12's. The Dukes sit in fourth place after a 2-0 win over No Fuchs Given who played their second game with us.
Monday Club's impressive campaign continues in Division Two following their 4-1 win over Bandits as they look as though they won't be caught at the summit. Unitech and Mean Machine remain locked on 11 points in the battle for second place as both won again this week, whilst Chasetown Seniors edged out Lloyds by a single goal this week to move above them into the table and fourth.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Burntwood's premier provider of small sided football.
