Monday 14th February - Burntwood Round-Up

Another good evening's football overall in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being The Gradient who we look forward to seeing return on Monday 21st February.

Burntwood FC's place at the top of the table remains after they got a 5-0 win due to The Gradient not being in attendance.  Pete Scores Bangers edged past Largentina by a 4-3 score line to remain in second place, whilst Bumfica stay in third following their 4-2 win against Burntwood Dads.  Fourth placed Tea and Busquets keep pace with the leaders too, as they were 2-1 winners against Janine The Dream.  Chasetown Seniors remain bottom of the table but picked up an important point this week as they drew 2-2 with The CTL Elite in a closely competed game.

Another Team FC stay a point clear as they won an entertaining game against Ajax Treesdown by a 4-2 score line, Ajax dropping to fourth place.  MV Kelly stay in second spot as they also won an entertaining game against Obi Wan Bissaka by 3 goals to 2.  Borussia Teeth moved into third position as they were comfortable 3-0 winners against FC Bantalona.  Other action saw The Dukes move to within a point of sixth placed Inter Your Nan whom they beat 4-1, and Norfolkinchance stay in eighth place as they shared the spoils with fifth placed Second 2 None.

We wish all teams good luck heading into the next round of fixtures with Burntwood's premier providers of small sided football.
