It was another excellent evening's football in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some fantastic matches played across all three divisions.
We are pleased to be able to confirm that the goal nets have all been replaced at Burntwood Leisure Centre and we hope that by us doing this it has greatly improved the level of enjoyment for all teams playing within the league.
Burntwood FC picked up a big result in relation to the top of the Premier Division as they edged past Janine The Dream 2-1 in a hard fought performance, a result which sees them move to the summit after 5 games with their opposition dropping to third. Tea and Busquets moved into second place following a 2-0 win over Six Offenders as the table takes shape.
Division One also has a new leader as Burntwood Lions moved to the summit, they were 5-3 winners in a thriller against Pete Scores Bangers, a result which in a similar situation to the Premier Division sees the former leaders fall to third. Chasetown Seniors professional performance sees them move to second as they recorded a 2-0 win over Inter Your Nan.
In Division Two, 8th Place FC continue their impressive start to the season as they thrashed Obi Wan Bissaka by a 6-0 scoreline. They remain closely followed though, as Unbelievable Jeff's 1-0 win over FC Bantalona keeps them just a point off the pace.
