Monday 18th October - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance for their fixtures throughout the night, including new team Borussia Teeth who played their first fixture with us, losing 1-0 to Inter Ya Nan in their debut match in Division One.

Congratulations to Tea and Busquets in the Premier Division, who sealed the title this week with a game to spare, this follows their 4-2 win over Janine The Dream whilst Burntwood FC were beaten 1-0 by The Gradient.  Third placed Six Offenders ran out 6-3 winners over Burntwood Dads in a thrilling encounter.

Pete Scores Bangers and Chasetown Seniors continue to battle it out for the title in Division One, they recorded 8-0 and 5-2 victories respectively as both sit locked on 20 points a piece, with Pete top of the table on goal difference.  CTL Elite sit in third place but would need a huge swing in goal difference to gain promotion, they line up against Chasetown in Division One in the final week of fixtures, in what promises to be a closely fought game.

In Division Two, 8th Place FC were held to a draw for only the second time this campaign, as they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Gabe Itches.  Unbelievable Jeff have also now sealed promotion following their 5-0 win and third placed Dukes 2-2 draw with Whale FC.  Completing the action in Division Two was another draw, as Bantalona and Obi Wan Bissaka shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
