Monday 21st February - Burntwood Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some entertaining games played across both divisions.

Pete Scores Bangers went to the top of the Premier Division again this week as they were comfortable 4-1 winners over Janine The Dream, whilst Burntwood FC dropped to second place following their shock 2-1 defeat to The CTL Elite.  Bumfica remain handily placed in third after running out 2-0 winners over Largentina, whilst fourth placed Tea and Busquets were 2-0 winners over Chasetown Seniors.  In the other game in the division, The Gradient were convincing 6-2 winners in their match against bottom of the table Burntwood Dads.

Division One leaders Another Team FC were in dominant form this week as they thrashed Borussia Teeth by a 9-0 score line, in a surprise result as Borussia were in third place before kick off.  Second placed MV Kelly were 5-1 winners over Norfolkinchance, a result which extends their lead from third place to three points!  

Ajax Treesdown moved up to third place following their superb 7-1 victory against bottom of the table Obi Wan Bissaka, whilst Second 2 None moved into fourth place after they were comfortable 4-0 winners in their game against Inter Your Nan who drop to seventh place!  The Dukes completed the action as they moved up to sixth place following their 5-2 win over FC Bantalona.
