It was another good evening's football overall in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance barring a cancellation from Ajax Treesdown who've now withdrawn from the league, we welcome new team Hit N Miss United to the league as their replacement and wish these good luck on Monday 28th March. There was also a surprise non-attendance from Borussia Teeth who we welcome back on Monday 28th.
It just got tighter at the top of the Premier Division, as Pete Scores Bangers suffered a 3-1 reverse at the hands of Bumfica, who are now well in the title hunt! They sit in third place, a point behind the leaders, and level with second placed Burntwood FC who were 5-0 winners over Chasetown Seniors. Three teams are now separated by a single point which makes for an exciting climax to the season!
The Gradient and Tea and Busquets remain fourth and fifth respectively, and neither could be separated this week as they met and played out a 1-1 draw, whilst Largentina secured a convincing 3-1 win over CTL Elite and Janine The Dream moved into seventh place after running out 4-0 winners against Burntwood Dads.
Another Team stay in second place, three points off the leaders MV Kelly as both were 5-0 winners this week. Second 2 None stay in mid-table after a 2-0 win over Obi Wan Bissaka, and The Dukes stay in sixth place and move ever clearer from the bottom end of the table as they secured a 2-1 win against Norfolkinchance.
We wish all teams good luck going into game week 13 with Burntwood's premier providers of small sided football!
