Monday 23rd September - Burntwood Round-Up

It was an excellent start to the new season in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance apart from a late cancellation by Baldfield from Division One who called ahead to cancel.

New team Tea and Busquets made their mark on the league in their opening game as they defeated The Dukes 4-0.  Monday Club were 3-1 winners over Mean Machine whilst last season's champions Burntwood AFC started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over AFC 55.  Game of the night though was the 4-3 thriller in which SOTC FC overcame Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole.

in Division One, Breast Plate Stretchers were one of four teams to score 5 goals in their opening game, they kept a clean sheet to boot as they ran out 5-0 winners over FC Bantalona.  New Old Boys were 5-1 victors over Warriors Argyle, whilst Chasetown  Seniors beat Barnes Skips 5-3  and Norfolkinchance were 5-4 winners against new team The Gradient in an entertaining evening's football!  Lampard Do The Bounce also put in a disciplined performance as they ran out 2-0 winners against Expected Toulouse.
