Monday 4th July - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week, with the only disappointment being a failure to arrive by Janine The Dream, who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Monday 11th July.

In the Premier Division, Largentina stay top of the table, but a second draw in succession means their lead is cut to a single point, they shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw against The CTL Elite, whilst The Gradient took advantage of this with a 4-2 victory over Burntwood FC. who drop to fifth spot.  Bumfica FC now occupy third position as they won a ten goal thriller against Borussia Teeth by a 6-4 scoreline.  Tea and Busquets recovered from last weeks defeat in style as they were 5-1 winners over No Fuchs Given.  Completing the action was Pete Scores Bangers who were 3-2 winners against Second 2 None in a well competed game.

The top v bottom clash in Division One threw up few surprises as Hit N Miss were more hit than miss in front of goal with a 4-0 victory over WIP FC.  Burntwood Dads continue to hunt them down as they occupy second position, they were 3-0 winners against mid-table Norfolkinchance.  FC Bantalona now occupy fourth position with a hard earned 2-0 win over Friel United, whilst Inter Your Nan were the big winners of the evening with a 7-0 thrashing of Monday Warriors.
