It was another excellent evening's football in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled throughout the night, including new team Half Pump and Dribble who played their first game with us, having a difficult start against a useful Bumfica side who ran out 7-1 winners, they will however be looking to improve as they get used to playing.
Leaders Largentina made it 3 wins in a row as they came from 2-0 down at half time to run out 4-2 winners in a thrilling second half comeback to continue their 100% start. Bumfica moved into second place after the above mentioned win. Third placed Gradient were held to a goalless draw by Tea and Busquets in a tightly contested game, whilst CTL Elite got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory against Second 2 None. Completing the action with a first win of the season was Pete Scores Bangers who did so in style with a 6-1 victory over Borussia Teeth.
In Division One, leaders Burntwood Dads romped to an 8-0 victory over Monday Warriors, which was enough to put them top of the table on goal difference. Hit N Miss United stay in second place after they were 6-2 winners against Inter Your Nan whilst a well disciplined performance from Chasetown Seniors saw them climb into third place with a 2-0 victory over WIP FC. Norfolkinchance won by the same scoreline against Friel United to pick up their first points of the season, whilst Janine The Dream and Bantalona shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
We look forward to seeing all teams in attendance for game week 4 with Burntwood's premier providers of small sided football!
