A Week of Thrilling Encounters in Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football League

The fiercely-contested Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football League witnessed an action-packed Week 3, marked by spectacular goals, exciting comebacks, and nail-biting finishes.

In the Premier League division, the week kicked off with a high-stakes tussle between 'Barz Click' and 'Barely Athletic', a game that ended 3-2 in favor of Barz Click. The nail-biting competition set the tone for the week, as 'Peek Eboue' and 'Top Notch' ended in a 2-1 draw. 

The final showdown of the night features our Match of the Day. It saw 'Ladzio FC' take on 'Allstars United' in a heated match that ended with the Allstars United outshining their opponents 4-2. 6 goals on a belly full of Sunday Dinner sure isn't shabby! The tops and bottoms of this crucial table are really starting to shape up now...

Division 1 also served up its fair share of dramatic moments. 'Obese City' and 'Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref' battled it out in a closely-contested match that ended in a 1-1 draw. 'Hakuna Juan Mata' faced a crushing 9-0 defeat against 'Zero Elites', in what was perhaps the most one-sided game of the week. 'Ball Of Duty' also had a tough night, falling 7-0 to 'Sunday Football Ringers'. Chalk and cheese in our middle tier it would seem then!

The action wrapped up in Division 2 where 'Greggs On Legs' and 'Warriors' locked horns, resulting in a 1-1 stalemate. End to end action nonetheless! We also had a tantalising friendly take place whilst we await the arrival of our newest team - starting next week!

Don't forget that as per the fixture list, we are still on as usual next Sunday. This is despite England playing in the Euros as this is luckily a night game. Most of you should be done and dusted in time to reach the nearest pub beer garden for all the build-up action. If you think it's "coming home" then why not play in your England shirts and show Southgate what he's missing - Burntwood's finest! Just get in touch with Dan if you can't make it ASAP please.
