Burntwood Sunday's Six-a-Side Football League Returns with Exciting Results
The local fervour for football was reignited last night as Burntwood Sunday's six-a-side league entered its fourth week, with a series of thrilling matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.
In the elite Premier League, a tightly contested match unfolded between Kebab And Beer FC and Allstars United, ending in a 2-0 win to the mighty Allstars. Exemplifying the tense competition in the Premier League, Barz Click and Peek Eboue locked horns in an exhilarating match, with Peek Eboue securing a hard-fought victory at 1-0. Two teams to certainly watch for the future!
In Division 1, Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref delivered a solid performance to beat Sunday Football Ringers 2-1. Zero Elites dominated the field with an outstanding 10-0 victory over Ball Of Duty, proving they are a force to be reckoned with. I am certain that Ball of Duty will be grateful to hear the upcoming announcement. In another matinee, Obese City swept past Hakuna Juan Mata with a comfortable 4-0 win.
Over in Division 2, we find our Match of the Day! Barely Athletic put up an impressive show against D.T.F.C, ending the game at 5-2. 7 goals and end to end action certainly contains all the ingredients we are looking for at Leisure Leagues!
In further developments, Andy's Team FC showed their prowess with an astounding 6-0 victory over Warriors. Meanwhile, Hill Street Hooligans just managed to edge out Greggs On Legs in a nail-biter, finishing 1-0.
For the Sunday coming we have a big change to share with you all! We shall be restarting our Super Sunday League and changing to 2 divisions of 10 teams. As per our Facebook group announcement, this was agreed with many of you to be fairer all round. It also enables 2 new teams to join us!
The spirit of competition is alive and kickin, and supporters can't wait to see what the next week has in store! Our priority is always for you guys to be having a good laugh - and that is something coming forward with us continuously.
