The thrilling Burntwood Sunday six-a-side football league served up more excitement last night as it entered its seventh week of competitive action. We saw some great football with the Premier League and Division 1 presenting nail-biting fixtures.
In the Premier League, Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref narrowly triumphed over Peek Eboue, ending the match with a 1-0 scoreline. A high-intensity game between Kebab And Beer FC and Top Notch resulted in a 2-2 draw, leaving both teams sharing points. Meanwhile, Zero Elites clearly dominated the field against Bottom Bunch FC, winning the match with a clean 4-0 scoreline. The night ended with a tight game between Barz Click and Sunday Football, with the latter managing to secure a 1-0 victory.
Moving over to Division 1, The Ringers showed an exemplary performance by thrashing Hill Street Hooligans 7-1. Obese City narrowly edged out Hakuna Juan Mata by a solitary goal, winning 1-0. Allstars United put on a strong show against Greggs On Legs, securing a 3-1 win. The match between D.T.F.C and Warriors ended in a 2-2 draw, with both teams displaying a commendable effort. This olde worlde rivalry has been going strong for years! And another dramatic turn of events earnt this classic yet another MoTD nomination! The last match showed Ladzio Fc's dominance over Ball Of Duty, with a solid 3-0 win.
