The Burntwood Sunday 6 a side Football league continued to offer thrilling action this week, with nail-biting encounters and brilliant performances witnessed across the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, the week 11 action was headlined by the keenly contested match between Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref and Top Notch, both teams battled hard for dominance but the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Two teams fighting for second spot but no ground has been gained by either tonight...
Zero Elites put up a spectacular show to overcome Sporting Stonnall 3-1, while Sunday Football outplayed Peek Eboue with a stunning 5-2 victory. Doing exactly what they do best! Barz Click proved to be in fine form, outclassing Barely Athletic 5-1, and Kebab And Beer FC had a field day against Bottom Bunch FC, registering a 5-1 victory.
In Division 1, The Ringers delivered a masterclass to claim a resounding 6-0 win against Allstars United. Obese City hit a spectacular SEVEN against the Warriors, without conceding a goal. Up to the heights they go!
We actually have a remarkable Match of the Day double header for you today! Two equally epic contests to behold - Ball Of Duty and Hill Street Hooligans, as well as D.T.F.C and Greggs On Legs, both ended in a 3-3 draw, showing the intense competition within the division. Greggs on Legs unfortunately allowing 2nd postition to just about slip out of their grasp! Furthermore, Ladzio Fc managed to secure a 2-0 win over Hakuna Juan Mata in a tight contest.
More exciting news as we now have concrete dates for the upgrade of our astro turf venue at Burntwood Leisure Centre. We will be closed to footie for 29th September and 6th October whilst these works are carried out. We are determined to bring you the best local 6v6 action all around - keep your eyes peeled!
