Burntwood Sunday 6 a side news 2024-10-13

Play in the Burntwood Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In a thrilling week of action, the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football League reached its 14th week with impressive performances from all teams involved. Both the Premier League and Division 1 saw some nail-biting fixtures and breathtaking goals.

We had some fantastic new fencing, astro turf, nets and surroundings to enjoy after a 2 week break for this to be carried out! Positive reviews all round with more exciting improvements coming soon.

In the highly competitive Premier League, a resilient Sunday Football team claimed a 3-1 victory over Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref. 28 points on the board now - and still going strong! Further adding to the excitement, we have yesterday’s Match of the Day. Barz Click and Zero Elites battled for supremacy resulting in a 3-3 deadlock. This was only broken in the closing seconds following a late screamer of a winner. Coming from none other than captain of Zero Elites - Andy Leek!

Top Notch managed to edge out Bottom Bunch FC with a 2-1 win, keeping the pressure on top spot as they continue their quest. Whereas Kebab And Beer FC came out on top against Sporting Stonnall with a 3-1 scoreline at the foot of the table. In other news, Barely Athletic managed to secure a solid 3-1 win against Peek Eboue.

The action was not limited to the Premier League alone. Division 1 was equally competitive and exciting. Ladzio Fc claimed a 4-2 victory over closest rivals Warriors in a game that had spectators on the edge of their seats. D.T.F.C and Allstars United played out a 1-1 draw, a real shame as both teams were eager to make up ground on top spot! A fine race for second place ensues nonetheless…

Meanwhile Obese City crushed Greggs On Legs with a whopping 6-0 scoreline. Could that be crucial come the end of season, perhaps we have a new contender on our hands? Hakuna Juan Mata couldn't manage to secure a win against Chase FC, resulting in a 2-4 loss. The bottom of the table is where they stay stuck!

Although every player gave their all, some standout performances were seen. The Premier League and Div 1 both had fantastic sessions on such a monumental night!

As we move into week 15, we wait with bated breath for what promises to be another exciting week of football in the Burntwood Sunday league. The closing stages lie ahead, along with a brand new season…
