In a thrilling football showdown last night, week 15 of the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side football league showcased local teams battling for victory in both Premier League and Division 1. The games were electrifying, with teams showing great determination and skill.

We shall kick things off with our Match of the Day! In the Premier League, Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref and Barely Athletic played an intense match that ended in a 3-3 draw. End to end action which just couldn’t be split apart, fantastic! 

The second match saw Kebab And Beer FC narrowly securing victory over Peek Eboue with 1-0. Sporting Stonnall and Bottom Bunch FC ended in a 1-1 deadlock, while Top Notch and Barz Click shared the spoils with yet another 3-3 tie. The final match of the division saw Sunday Football triumph over Zero Elites with a 4-2 scoreline. With both the chasers being held by intense draws, the race for second place continues…

First place, it would seem, is all wrapped up! Sunday football charge onwards like a stream train to the finish!! Bottom Bunch were at least able to get some points on the board which was nice to see!

Moving to Division 1, the most significant win was by The Ringers, who outclassed Hakuna Juan Mata with a staggering score of 11-3. Greggs On Legs outpaced Chase FC, securing a comfortable 5-2 victory. Obese City and D.T.F.C ended their contest in a 2-2 draw. Allstars United dominated Ladzio Fc, finishing the match 4-0, and finally, Warriors triumphed over Ball Of Duty with a score of 6-3.

The Ringers, in this case, also seeming like an unstoppable force to be reckoned with! However, with DTFC faltering - the mighty all stars were able to make up some ground right at the top. Could that prove costly I wonder?

The impressive performances brought excitement to the pitch, captivating audiences and adding to the drama of the season!

As we move into the next week of the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side football league, anticipation is high. With teams displaying such outstanding performances, football fans can expect more thrilling showdowns and heart-racing moments in the coming weeks…
