In a thrilling conclusion to the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side Football league, Team Sunday Football and The Ringers emerged as the standout winners in their respective divisions. Marking the end of a noteworthy 18-week season, the final matches were played last night, exhibiting some of the finest local football talent.

In the Premier League division, Team Sunday Football stole the show with an exceptional performance throughout the season. They triumphed with a total of 33 points and a remarkable tally of 16 wins. 

The final week saw an intense match between Sporting Stonnall and Barely Athletic, ending with a 2-0 score in favor of Barely Athletic. Top Notch secured a solid 5-1 victory over Kebab And Beer FC, earning themselves a well earned runners up note. Meanwhile Zero Elites managed a narrow 1-0 win against Bottom Bunch FC. Sunday Football sealed their status as the winners of the division with a closely contested 3-2 victory against Barz Click. What a way to plonk a cherry on top! 

Meanwhile, The Ringers reigned supreme in Division 1, clinching the top spot with a total of 36 points and a whopping 18 victories! 

The final week featured several exciting matchups, with The Ringers narrowly defeating Chase FC 3-2. Likewise rounding off their season with an epic skimmed contest. Obese City triumphed over Hakuna Juan Mata with a 3-2 victory, while new boys M S Opeless suffered a significant 8-0 loss against Greggs On Legs. 

Warriors and D.T.F.C produced a thrilling game that ended with a 4-2 scoreline favoring D.T.F.C. With Greggs earning that much needed Goal Difference, the DT lads knew they needed to do their bit and get a result. Exactly what they achieved in this epic Match of the Day which also landed them the runners up spot! In a final unexpected sample of action, Ball Of Duty and Ladzio Fc battled it out in a closely fought 4-4 draw, adding to the excitement of the season's final week…

As the season concludes, the focus now shifts to next Sunday, when we fire on all cylinders and kick off a brand new season! Anything is achievable for both old and new teams alike. The players, their teams, and their fans, now look forward to the next season, hoping for more exhilarating football action! Fixtures for next season will be released on Wednesday night, 11pm.
