In the gripping week 7 of the Burntwood Sunday 6-a-side football league, exhilarating games were played in the Premier League and Division 1, leaving fans eagerly waiting for the next match day. 

We still had a fabulous attendance considering all the festive action going on. Next Sunday we will be fully into a new year, and another chilly January.. hoping to see you all back for some firey action nonetheless!

In the Premier League, we kick off with our Match of the Day - a thrilling game unfolded between Peek Eboue and Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref. The match was a showcase of skill, teamwork, and resilience. Peek Eboue emerged victorious with a narrow victory of 4-3 over Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref. Peek keep up their pressure on the tip of the table, with Top Notch almost neck and neck with them! 

Moving on to Division 1, the matches were no less exciting. In the clash between Hakuna Juan Mata and Obese City, Hakuna Juan Mata pulled off a convincing 3-1 victory. The top scorer from Hakuna Juan Mata was in top form, proving to be a thorn in the side for Obese City. Proving that mid table is certainly not a fitting description for them!

Meanwhile, Greggs On Legs put on a stellar performance against M S Opeless, scoring an overwhelming 9-0 victory. Crazy stuff as they aim to push away from the bottom spots. Ladzio Fc and Ball of Duty locked horns in the final match of the day. Ladzio Fc demonstrated a compelling game strategy, emerging victorious with a 7-1 win. Could they be stealing the trophy this season? Time will tell!

As we approach week 8 of the league, anticipation is high, and the teams are gearing up for the next round of fixtures. The top scorers from each division will be looking to extend their goal tally and help their respective teams climb up the league table.
