In last night's action of the Burntwood Sunday Football League, teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions displayed high adrenaline performances, yielding exciting results for Week 9 of this thrilling season.
In the Premier League division, Real Unfitico were unable to provide a strong statement with a deflating 9-2 defeat against the mighty Sunday Ringers Utd. Their opponents team showcased a powerful attacking force, leaving the Unfits wide open. The Ringers hoover up the points yet again...
We do have our Match of the Day to catch up on of course! Away from the peak of the table, Zingers FC edged out Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref in a tight 5-3 contest. The match was a true display of competitive spirit and attacking football. Edging them away from the drop zone was the real benefit here! However, the highlight of drama in the Premier League fixtures was undoubtedly Top Notch's dominant 3-0 win over Peek Eboue, which laid down their impressive form this season. This was a crucial match, with moth teams still in prime contention for the champions trophy.. are the Peek Eboue lads now out of the race?
Shifting focus to Division 1, FC R United was undoubtedly the standout team, trouncing M S Opeless in a staggering 11-0 game. This performance solidifies their standing as a significant force in the league. The polar opposite of emotions for Opeless, who had a very positive result just 7 days ago!? In another game, Ladzio FC and Bottom Bunch FC shared the spoils, drawing 1-1 in a hard-fought match. It was the day's only draw amongst all fixtures!
However, Obese City's 6-0 win over Sporting Stonnall cannot be ignored, as it was a clear display of their dominating prowess. Meanwhile, Hakuna Juan Mata put up an impressive performance, securing an 8-2 victory against Warriors, thus rounding off the exciting week of football. They still fight every week for that shot of glory at the top, will it fall to them? We shall see.
